Candidate Charter

Source operates within the following codes of ethics and operating standards which allow us to achieve best practice in our service to our candidate population.

  1. To abide by the provisions of all the relevant laws relating to our business, including equal opportunity and anti-discrimination legislation, and to ensure that our candidate are interviewed in a fair, unambiguous and non-discriminatory manner.

  2. To strive to ensure that any documentation representing our candidates’ skills, attributes, past experience and career goals is written in a fair and honest manner

  3. To respect the confidentiality of any information about our candidates, if requested.

  4. Not to dispatch or refer candidate details to potential employers unless the candidate has been contacted and permission received, or unless prior permission has been given for details to be freely marketed with clients that we consider could offer a candidate the right opportunity.

  5. To maintain regular contact with both the client and candidate during the recruitment process, ensuring that both parties are aware of developments.

  6. Not to retain any information about the client or candidate that may influence the other party’s decision.

  7. To view candidate references in an objective and professional manner, once mutual interest has been established by both parties, but with deference to the candidate’s confidentiality prior to an offer being made and accepted.

  8. To give candidates objective and professional feedback following interviews with potential employers. With the client’s co-operation, where possible, we will always aim to provide this within 24 hours of the interview.

  9. To treat candidates in the utmost professional manner at all times.

  10. To work with our candidates to ensure as far as possible, that their experience of our selection processes is a positive one, whilst recognising that seeking a change of career is a decision and transition of utmost importance.

  11. To conduct a verbal review with placed candidates and their new employers within a month of commencing their new role.
